I have been going to church in Freeport for about the last year or so. My attendance isn’t as good as I’d like but I’m still all over the place and make it as much as possible.  This is the first church that there has been a desire for me to attend faithfully in some time.  The Pastor shares a message that is powerful, convicting and encouraging.  It’s a very diverse group of people with real struggles but all share the Hopeful Inspiration of Jesus which I find very refreshing.  I wrote the following poem one day during the service.

Thankful for the The Freedom House

Welcome to our Zion
A place you can rely on
Here- Jesus Christ is King
Here- Lord of Everything

We are family gathered in this place
Full of God’s Loving  Mercy and Grace
Walk through the door,  releasing all fear
Lord Your Presence, Your Kingdom is here
No fronts or lies, just honest and bare
Filled with Love, Laughter, Prayers and Care

Welcome to our Zion

Set aside your worries, castaway the stress
Here you are Loved, here you are Blessed
This is now Home, the way it should Be
sinful life Conquered, for we’ve been set Free
Walk in the Light, shine it on a hill
Sharing the Love of Jesus, Gods Perfect Will
